We are looking for a Controller to join our team.

Join our team as a Controller and play a key role in managing our financial operations! The Controller will oversee essential accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting our growth and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end procedures and reconcile departmental reports
  • Develop and oversee our capital management strategy
  • Coordinate annual audits and prepare various statutory reports
  • Supervise accounts payable/receivable and maintain fixed asset ledgers
  • Prepare payroll, manage tax payments, and oversee 401(k) submissions
  • Collaborate on budget preparation and financial reporting for board meetings

We are looking for a President/CEO

The President / CEO is responsible for the overall management of Horizon’s Convention Center (HCC) operations. The President / CEO works closely with the Board of Directors (BOD)and Convention Center Authority (CCA) to provide vision and fiscal sustainability to HCC. The President / CEO develops key performance indicators and sets standards for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with BOD and CCA advises BOD of HCC progress and developments
  • Act as the primary liaison with government entities, and industry stakeholders to foster relationships, drive collaboration and business development.
  • Provides strategic leadership and vision positioning HCC as a premiere meeting and conference facility
  • Leads and directs staff, fosters employee growth and development
  • Champions an organizational culture of exceptional service, fiscal responsibility, and positivity
  • Develops and ensures adherence to operational budget, sales targets, and profitability measures
  • Presents annual budget to boards, full P&L responsibility, consults with boards on major expenditures
  • Maintains and updates internal policies and controls, ensures adherence thereof
  •  Sets and maintains standards for guest experience including customer interaction, facility presentation, and dining and beverage services
  • Directs long-term planning of facility needs and maintenance
  • Ensures maximization of space and facility utilization

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Masters Preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years executive leadership / senior management
  •  Familiarity with multi-revenue stream budgets
  •  Facilities Management
  • Sales / Customer Service Management

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Convention Center executive management
  •  Non-profit governance with tax revenue
  • Strategic planning
